New Leaders Elected to FIATECH's Board of Directors

FIATECH announced its newly elected officers to its board of direction on March 31 during its Annual Technology Conference & Showcase: Where the Best Get Better in New Orleans, LA. The new board representatives will serve from January 2008 - December 2010 and include Reginald Gagliardo, Senior Vice President, Burns & Roe; Jeffrey Grillo, CSC Engineering Manager, Intel Corporation; Derek Middlemas, Executive Vice President Business Strategy, AVEVA; and Robert Houghtaling, Business Engineer Manager, DuPont.

Derek Middlemas commented, "FIATECH is an important enabler for driving business improvement through integration and automation of engineering technology. It provides leadership and direction on what AVEVA, as part of the value chain, should and could be doing; and it also provides a mechanism for us to contribute to the debate as a true partner. I feel privileged to be able to contribute at the board level, and would encourage all companies involved in the capital project business, and that value the use of engineering technology, to get involved at some level with FIATECH."

The FIATECH Board of Directors is chaired by Tom Hannigan, President-Plant Services, Zachry Construction Corporation and Jerry N. Gipson, Jr., Director, Engineering Solutions Technology Center, The Dow Chemical Company serves as Vice Chair.

The remainder of the Board is comprised of Bert Aragon, Vice President, Operations - Houston & Monterrey, KBR; William W. Brubaker, Director of Facilities Engineering and Operations, Smithsonian Institution; Winnie Callahan, Executive Director, Peter Kiewit Institute, University of Nebraska; Buddy Cleveland, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Bentley Systems; Zuhair Haddad, Vice President Corporate Affairs and CIO, Consolidated Contractors Company; Patrick Holcomb, Senior Vice President, Business Development, Intergraph PPM; Stephen H. Makredes, Director, Construction, Target Corporation; Frank Matthewson, Engineering Manager, Bechtel Corporation; John McQuary, Vice President, Knowledge Management and Technology Strategies, Fluor Corporation; Ray Topping, Executive Vice President, Global Enterprise Design Operations, CH2MHILL; Gilberto Torres, Section Head, Corporate Engineering, The Procter & Gamble Company! y; and Dr. Jorge Vanegas, Director, Center for Housing and Urban Development, Texas A&M University.

James B. Porter, Jr., Chief Engineer and Vice President, Engineering & Operations, DuPont and K. Keith Roe, Chairman, President & CEO, Burns and Roe Enterprises, Inc. serve as emeritus members of the Board. Wayne Crew, Executive Director, Construction Industry Institute (CII); Richard H.F. Jackson, Director, FIATECH and Nicole Testa, Deputy Director, FIATECH serve as ex-officio members of the Board.
