Kessler Consulting, Inc. (KCI), an innovative solid waste consulting firm, today announced the opening of its new office in Brattleboro, Vermont, and the hiring of Michael Alexander as Senior Consultant and manager of the Northeast office. This announcement comes on the firm’s 20th anniversary.
Michael Alexander has twenty years of experience in solid waste management, recycling, and sustainability. Prior to joining KCI, Michael was Director of Policy and Research for the National Recycling Coalition for seven years, and Program Manager for the Northeast Recycling Council for ten years. In 1989, Michael began his career in the environmental field as a Policy Analyst with the New York State Office of Recycling/Market Development, the first agency in the U.S. dedicated to creating markets for recyclables.

He will also coordinate KCI’s work with Re-TRAC and EcoVille, two innovative on-line tools for recycling professionals for which KCI is a certified service provider. In addition, Michael will utilize his policy expertise to help develop a recycling and sustainability roadmap for the State of Florida, and assist with providing solid waste consulting services to local governments and corporate clients in the Northeast, Florida and throughout North America.
