STORMWATER,
the Journal for Surface Water Quality Professionals
Around the
world, awareness of the importance of surface water quality is rapidly
increasing. The impacts on surface water quality made by society
have been made abundantly clear, and you are the person with primary
responsibility for complying with the increasing rules and regulations
addressing these issues. In the United States, you are probably
the person responsible for NPDES Phase 2 compliance and the other
significant regulatory and business changes that impact us all.
Yet, before today, there has been no single publication written
specifically for you---the professional involved with surface water
quality issues, protection, projects, and programs. Regardless of
whether you work for the government, a watershed protection agency,
or a private business, a single professional publication written
to assist you in your day to day work has not existed before. The
need or such a magazine has never been stronger.
Meet STORMWATER,
the Journal for Surface Water Quality Professionals. If you’re in
stormwater, this is your magazine. Each issue, each article, each
dot of ink on each page (and each pixel on your monitor) is put
there specifically to meet your professional needs. We don’t write
for all engineers, or every municipal official, or all contractors,
or the entire environmental industry. Just those with specific surface
water quality responsibilities. Every interview, every article,
every news item, every facet of editorial is focused on various
aspects of stormwater programs and surface water quality improvement
or protection operations and is edited for that specific reader.
This is a practical business journal, edited for professionals with
an increasingly complex job to do. With technology advancing rapidly
and legislation changing almost daily, there is now a real need
for such a publication. Yet before STORMWATER, none existed.
STORMWATER,
the Journal for Surface Water Quality Professionals, is available
on a complimentary basis for qualified readers.
